Publish Your Spring 2026 Courses and Content

Spring classes begin Monday, January 12, 2026. Make sure your courses are published, and all modules, assignments, and content are visible to students before the semester starts. Remember: Even if your course is published, individual modules, pages, and files must also be published for students to access them. Take a few minutes to review your course visibility using the Student View setting and ensure everything is ready for day one.

NEW Surveys are Available in New Quizzes!

The feature you have been waiting for is here! Collect student feedback easily with the new survey options in New Quizzes. You can now create surveys without using workarounds or complex settings — simply select “Graded or Ungraded Survey” when building your quiz. Choose between anonymous or identifiable responses to gather low-stakes, ungraded feedback that helps you understand student perspectives and improve your course.

Are you using Turnitin SimCheck Correctly on Assignments? 

There has been an uptick in the use of Turnitin SimCheck on Canvas assignments. Please review the following FAQ to make sure you understand how to use the tool and what settings to check to get the results you want.

Accidentally Deleted Something? Use /undelete to Recover It!

If you’ve accidentally deleted a page, assignment, discussion, or other content in your Canvas course, you can recover it using the /undelete feature. Simply add “/undelete” to the end of your course URL to access a list of deleted items and restore what you need. This powerful tool can save you time and frustration when content is removed by mistake.
